Most the decampees were mainly from Jalingo, Ibi, Sardauna, Ardo kola, Mallum, Kurmi, Takum, Donga, Bali, gassol and some of the mini villages in the local government area, who claimed they were fed up with PDPs alleged lawlessness and lies laced with deceit.
At an open field in some community, the defectors were received by Apc chieftain in the local government area, who assured them that there would be no discrimination against them, adding that their decision to move into the party automatically makes them one indivisible members of the party.

The spokesman for the decampees, Kenneth Benson said they were in PDP before joining APC, revealing that they left PDP at that time because of leadership failure, adding that they are happy to be reunited with APC
While describing PDP as a dead party, Benson assured that as fresh APC members, they will do their best to mobilize supports for Boand other members of the party vying for positions in the 2019 elections.
Meanwhile, the APC aspirant for GOVERNORSHIP, Chief Daji Oguma has said that the huge turn out of the party faithful and defections of members of PDP to APC were clear indications that the APC is on ground, adding that come 2019 the party will win in all the elections
